Stretching with Purpose

Assisted Stretching designed to support real-life movement.

Assisted stretching at Stretchd Out Buffalo isn’t about forcing flexibility or pushing through discomfort. It’s about unlocking movement your body has been guarding and restoring range of motion that makes everyday movement feel easier.

Through guided, hands-on stretching tailored to your body, we can help reduce tension, improve mobility, and support how you move in real life- whether that’s training, working, or just getting through the day without feeling stiff or restricted.

Each session is personalized, intentional, and designed to create usable mobility, so the benefits don’t stop when you leave the studio. Expect to move with more ease, feel less tight, and reconnect with how capable your body actually is.

This isn’t stretching for the sake of stretching. It’s mobility with purpose.

Check out below the different sessions to choose from and what session might be right for you!

The Table Stretch

The 30min Quick*e Stretch

Short on time or have one area that needs a little extra attention? This one’s for you. Because sometimes your lower body is the problem child and the rest of you is doing just fine.

Our 30-minute, table-based Assisted Stretch Session is designed to focus on one primary area of the body whether that’s your upper body, lower body, hips, shoulders, or another specific area that could use some attention.

Your Stretch Practition*r will use a combination of techniques such as PNF, Active Isolated Stretching, Pin-and-Stretch and static and dynamic stretching based on your individual needs, mobility, and goals.

This is a great option when you want a focused stretch without the full-body time commitment. If you’re looking to give everything from head to toe some attention, you may want to hang out with us a little longer and choose one of our extended sessions.

Quick. Focused. Effective. Your body will get over the fact that you only gave us 30 minutes.

Price: $55

Need more than 30 minutes, but not quite ready to commit to the full 60? Welcome to the sweet spot.

Our 45-minute, table-based Extendd Quicke Assisted Stretch Session gives your Stretch Practition*r a little more time to work while keeping the session completely customizable to you.

Want to spend 30 minutes focusing on your lower body and the last 15 on your upper body? Let’s do it. Want to split the time between a couple of specific areas? Absolutely. Want us to focus almost entirely on one stubborn area that refuses to cooperate? We can do that too. You bring the body. We’ll figure out the game plan.

Your Stretch Practition*r will use a combination of techniques such as PNF, Active Isolated Stretching, Pin-and-Stretch, myofascial techniques, and static and dynamic stretching based on your individual needs, mobility, and goals.

This session is perfect when 30 minutes feels just a little too quick and you’d like some extra time to address multiple areas without necessarily going for a general full-body stretch.

More time. More flexibility. Literally and figuratively.

The 60min Elongat*d Stretch

Want the full-body treatment? Well, not treatment treatment, we don’t do that here. But if your entire body is asking for some attention, 60 minutes gives us plenty of time to get into it.

Our 60-minute, table-based Assisted Stretch Session is our go-to option for a general full-body stretch. With more time to work, your Stretch Practition*r can move through the upper and lower body while still tuning into specific areas that may need a little extra attention. Because somehow there’s always that one area demanding to be the main character.

Your Stretch Practition*r will use a combination of techniques such as PNF, Active Isolated Stretching, Pin-and-Stretch and static and dynamic stretching based on your individual needs, mobility, and goals.

This session is ideal if you’re looking for head-to-toe attention, want to work on overall mobility and flexibility, or simply feel like your whole body could use a really good stretch. We can still spend additional time on specific areas while giving the rest of your body the attention it deserves.

Full body. More time. More stretching. Turns out 60 minutes can do a lot.

The 45min Extend*d Quick*e Stretch

The SportStretch®

The 45 min SportStretch®

Think stretching is just lying on a table while someone moves your arms and legs around? SportStretch® said, yeah… we can do more than that.

SportStretch® is a dynamic, movement-based approach to Assisted Stretching that incorporates active and passive techniques to help improve flexibility, mobility, range of motion, and overall movement.

Unlike our traditional table-based Assisted Stretch Sessions, SportStretch® may combine both table and floor-based stretching, giving your certified SportStretch® Practition*r more ways to move, position, and stretch the body based on your individual needs and goals.

Your session may incorporate techniques such as Active Isolated Stretching (AIS), Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Post-Isometric Relaxation (PIR), compression, traction, and other movement-based stretching techniques used within the SportStretch® method.

Our 45-minute SportStretch® Session is primarily focused on the lower body, allowing time to work through areas such as the hips, glutes, hamstrings, quads, calves, and surrounding areas.

Originally developed with athletes in mind, you absolutely do not need to be an athlete to book one. Whether you train hard, play recreational sports, spend your weekends pretending you're still 22, or simply want to move better, SportStretch® can be adapted to you.

Dynamic. Movement-based. A little different from your traditional stretch and that's kind of the point.

Assisted Stretch FAQ’s

Who is Stretching appropriate for?

Stretching is appropriate for absolutely everyone and anyone! Our Stretch Praction*rs are highly trained to be working with your 94-year-old grandma to a professional athlete and will tailor your appointment to your appropriate needs!

Are your Stretch Practition*rs trained appropriately to work with me?

Yes, absolutely. One thing that makes SOB stand out is we require our Stretch Practition*rs to be Licensed Body Workers and/or have some sort of Exercise Science Degree. This is especially important to us because there is so much about the human body we must know to help you best. Weekend certifications unfortunately will not provide the information needed to work effectively with the human body. See our "Meet Our Staff page" to read more about our Staff.

If this is my first time stretching, which session should I chose?

That depends on what you are looking for. Our 30 min sessions we usually recommend focusing on either upper or lower body. If wanting to focus on full body we recommend the 60! If you are new to stretching, we recommend the table stretch. For more active individuals and those who can get down on the floor, we recommend the SportStretch. Please note however, SportStretch is a specialized certification and not all employees are certified to be providing SportStretch sessions.

What should I wear to my stretch session?

We highly encourage you to wear something comfortable and flexible. (No pun intended, hehe) Please please please no jeans or very tight-fitting shirts as it's very challenging for us to give you a great stretch! We also ask that you please wear socks during your appointment. I’m sure your feet are beautiful, however your feet are sometimes close to our face and we’d prefer you to have socks on :)

Am I supposed to be in pain while I am stretching? Will my stretch practition*r hurt me?

NO NO NO! Stretching should NEVER be painful and if someone is hurting you while stretching please NEVER see that person again! We say stretching should "hurt so good" meaning as we're stretching you, it might be a little uncomfortable but it's never to the point of pain. You may experience soreness after your stretch; this is completely NORMAL as the body is being moved in ways it probably hasn’t been moved in a while. Please keep in mind if you have a current or previous injury, you must check in with your healthcare provider to determine if stretching is appropriate for you. Stretchd Out Buffalo does not treat or diagnose any medical condition.

If I have an active injury can I be Stretch*d?

Usually, the answer is no but please check with your Physician or local Physical Therapist to be sure. If you do have an active injury, for example in your knee, we can still stretch your upper body, however we may need to avoid the lower body until your injury is no longer present and we may require a letter from your provider explaining you are cleared to be stretch*d. Remember, we do NOT treat or diagnose any injuries here at Stretchd Out Buffalo. Our services are strictly for enjoyment. If you suspect you have an injury, please consult with your Physician.

If I am pregnant, can I be Stretch*d?

Stretching can be very beneficial for pregnant ladies, however there are restrictions, and we especially CANNOT stretch in the 1st trimester. Please contact your Physician to see if a stretch session is appropriate for you and please contact Stretchd Out Buffalo LLC after approval from your Physician.

How often should I stretch?

The American Center for Sports Medicine that makes all recommendations for exercise says that stretching or some sort of movement should be done everyday. So, when it comes to being stretch*d, the more you do it, the more beneficial! We have clients that come every week, twice a week, twice a month, once a month and more. We say the more benefit you want to get out of stretching, the more appointments you should book! But of course, we always say stretching on your own is super important between sessions, we can't do everything for you!

Does Stretchd Out Buffalo take insurance?

Unfortunately, insurance does not normally directly cover stretch appointments. Assisted Stretching is covered under all HSA/FSA accounts. Other insurances have Stretch Benefits such as Aetna and United Healthcare and may cover your stretch session depending on your plan. Call your insurance company to see if this feature is covered by your insurance! They may or may not reimburse you, but we do not directly deal with insurance companies. We accept Independent Health Wellness Cards and all HSA/FSA accounts for Stretch, Massage and Classes! (Highmark Wellness cards are currently not accepted for use at Stretchd Out Buffalo, HOWEVER Highmark has been known to reimburse you if you submit a receipt to them after completion of the service.)

What’s Stretchd Out Buffalo’s cancellation, reschedule and no-show policy? Do I need a card on file to hold my appointment?

Yes, we require a card on file to hold your appointment spot and your class reservation. Your card will not be charged until service is complete or if a cancellation/no show occurs. Because we value our time with our clients so much, for all appointments we have a cancellation/Reschedule policy of 24hrs as we may have other members who were wanting the time you originally requested. All cancellations and no shows that are not done within 24 hours will be charged 100% of the service fee. Those with packages/memberships will lose a session on their package/membership. We know this sounds harsh but we truly value our time with you. We also ask that you are respectful of our time as much as we are with yours. We are a small locally owned business just trying to make it our here and your late cancellation or no-show affects us more than you think!
